Judicial Fellows Clinic

2024 Judicial Fellows Clinic - March 15-16, 2024

This intensive two-day clinic, the Judicial Institute’s signature event, is designed to provide practical knowledge to help legal professionals from a variety of backgrounds become judges. Taught at the Seattle University School of Law by sitting judges, minority bar association judicial evaluation committee members and appointing authorities, topics covered include:

  • Serving as a judge

  • Judicial ethics

  • Judicial appointment process

  • Preparing for a judicial campaign

Participating fellows will be assigned judicial mentors, who will provide feedback, guidance and support on their path to the judiciary throughout the year. At the end of the program, Fellows should have a jump start on their pursuit for a position on the bench. Fellows will also receive general and ethics CLE credits.
